Instructor: Murray Spiegel
Do you want to add a new twist to your Seder this year? This one-hour multi-media presentation covers a rich variety of topics—the history of the Seder, the origins of its customs, and novel approaches that anyone can use. It focuses on how to integrate creative and educational ideas into Seders organized around different topics and how to enrich the Seder experience with themes, activities and novel subjects for discussion. Seders designed by the instructor have been written up in The New York Times and filmed by PBS. The program is supplemented by the fascinating story of how the instructor obtained Four Questions translations from an amazing span of people across the globe: Jews from Uganda to Uzbekistan, Aboriginals in Australia, Eskimo Bishops, and even a Circassian princess.
Murray F. Spiegel is the author of 300 Ways to Ask the Four Questions and is a member of Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Maryland. He has led more than 40 Seders, no two alike.
