Speakers:

  • Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: Congresswoman (D, FL), former DNC Chair
  • Maurice Shohet: son of Farhud survivors, advisor to Iraqi Jewish Archive project, taught a Jewish Study Center class (25w3) about his escape from Iraq.
  • Elan Carr: Israeli American Council CEO, former U.S. Envoy to Combat Antisemitism
  • Mithal Al-Alusi: (via video from Iraq), Iraqi Ummah Party leader, former Parliament member
  • Brian Shamash: rabbi of Iraqi Jewish heritage who will lead the memorial prayers
