(24F3) Discover the Kabbalah of Evil, Sin and Repentance (9 Oct 2024)

October 9th, 2024, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The recording of the class is at https://youtu.be/Uj17TU1hJuk.

To better understand Kabbalah and his class discussion,  Jay McCrensky, the instructor, recommends you examine the “Tree of Life Handout” and the “CKI Kabbalistic Symbolism Glossary.”  They can be downloaded from https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1NdxreyktDExUX4nLe0Lt2kv7IJnlYlJN

This one session class will introduce the kabbalistic understanding of sin and repentance as we lead up to Yom Kippur.  Learn about the nature and origin of evil, the concept of evil inclination and the path of rebalancing and re-birth through repentance.  Also learn the basic concepts of Kabbalah, the core of Jewish spirituality.

Everyone is also welcome to attend a drop-in Kabbalah class on Mondays at 6:00-7:30 pm ET.   It covers:

  • How would a kabbalist understand the weekly torah portion
  • How would a kabbalist understand Jewish prayers
  • Zohar deciphering and interpretation
  • Guided meditation
  • How can one believe in God after such evil as the holocaust and 10/6?
  •
What is the kabbalistic meaning of the Akedah (binding of Isaac)?
