My Father was a Wandering Aramean
7-9 PM
$15 members, $20 non-members
The heart of storytelling in the Haggadah is a midrash on a short passage from Deuteronomy which begins "Arami oved avi" (my father was a wandering Aramean). The Haggadah examines these four verses phrase by phrase, using other Biblical passages and early rabbinic legends and teachings to bring out the meaning of the holiday. The class will study the traditional text and participants should bring any Haggadot that they use at their own Seder so we can compare their readings to the traditional material.
