Join us for a night of learning the whats and whys of the vibrant Passover traditions in Sephardic Seders and Passover celebrations.

Make Your Own Haggadah
7:00 - 9:00 PM
Members: $15, non-members: $20

In every age, Jews have adapted the telling of Passover story in response to their own times and needs. This workshop shows you how to start. We will look at places in the Haggadah where the text invites and authorizes innovation and explore ways to include personal selections, such as writings, drawings and activities, suitable for all age groups. Beginners and experienced Seder-givers are equally welcome.

Sybil Wolin has made a Haggadah for her family every year for the past 28 years.

Seder Decorations: Plates and Cups
7:00 - 9:00 PM
Members: $20, non-members: $25

Why is this plate different from all other plates? Because you made it! Embrace your artistic impulses and paint your own, one-of-a-kind Seder plate, Elijah's Cup, or Miriam's Cup. We will provide the materials and guidance, you just need to bring yourselves, your ideas, and perhaps a smock. Students can choose to paint a glass or ceramic plate or glass cup that will be food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and maror-safe. This class is open to students of all ages.

Rachel Miller is the director of the Jewish Study Center and a former arts and crafts teacher.
